Steven Varni is the author of The Inland Sea, a collection of fiction published by Morrow and Harper Collins, and the children's picture book Ciao, Sandro!, published by Abrams in June 2021. He worked as the head bookbuyer and/or manager for indie bookstores in New York City, for the National-Magazine-Award-winning Nest magazine, and has written for the NY Times Book Review. As a photographer he's provided images for forthcoming titles from Yale University and Stanford University Press, and both his photography and a work of short fiction appear in the inaugural (and current) edition of Taint Taint Taint magazine.
