Book Contests

Wolfson Press accepts submissions to two annual book contests.

A poetry chapbook competition for poets writing in English. Inaugurated in 2020-21, this contest runs annually, accepting submissions between late September and early March. The first annual prize winner was Steven Ostrowski, and the second was Renee Agatep.

A prose competition that accepts short story collections, novellas and short novels, memoirs, literary and personal essays, and various other forms of creative non-fiction by American writers. In 2022, this competition ran in the spring, but it will be shifted to the fall in 2023. From the 2022 competition, we have books forthcoming by Katherine Haake, Rita Ciresi, and Doug Ramspeck.

42 Miles Press, our sister press, holds an annual poetry competition for full-length manuscripts. Information about 42 Miles Press can be found here.
